Giles sets up motor insurance helpline for courier firms
Following last week’s announcement that HSBC Insurance has withdrawn all motor insurance business with immediate effect, Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd has set up a dedicated helpline to assist couriers who may have difficulty arranging motor insurance as a result of this decision.
As a specialist insurer to the transport industry, covering the self drive hire, courier, minibus and haulage sectors, those transport companies currently insured with HSBC Insurance are being urged to contact Giles for details of the options now available to them and help in finding an alternative insurance provider immediately or when their current policy is due for renewal.

are available via a dedicated telephone line and email address to answer questions relating to existing policies, talk clients through how this could affect their premiums and discuss the options they have available to them.
The measures put in place by Giles will help businesses act as quickly as possible to minimise disruption and ensure they consider all the options available.
