Free Insurance Audit

Giles offers free insurance audits to Charities. It is a service provided so that Trustees and Staff can be confident that their Charity has the right cover at the best value.
Our specialist staff will review the nature of a Charity's activities and identify the risks involved. We will then design the optimum insurance programme for your Charity. Your current insurance arrangements are then compared to our programme and any differences highlighted for you.
The next stage usually involves us approaching insurers to ensure that your premium levels are the best available. The final stage is to outline broker service standards you should expect and also the level of broker remuneration that is appropriate.


Your Involvement

The free Giles insurance audit is time consuming for our staff but we try to minimise the disruption to charity trustees or staff. We try to keep your time involvement down, normally limited to the following:

  • An initial telephone conversation or short meeting
  • Providing your Annual Report and Accounts
  • Providing a sample of publicity or fund-raising literature
  • Providing details of the present insurance
  • Reading our audit report when completed

Past Results

Insurance audits usually identify possible improvement in cover, normally at no additional cost. Some of the problems identified are listed below:
